Sifting for Gold!

In Room 1 we are learning about mixtures and how to separate them. Here we are, searching for 'gold'!




Can you see the little pieces of 'gold' shining in the sand? We are sifting through the sand to find the 'gold'.

  1. Hi guys. Looks like heaps of fun. Did you know in 1854 the largest gold nugget ever found was in California at Carson Hill above the Stanislaus River. It weighed 195 pounds and was valued at $43,534 in the currency of the day.
